NCI’s All Saints Neighborhood Center
NCI’s All Saints Neighborhood Center demonstrates a “Success Families in Healthy Neighborhoods” strategy.
All
Saints Neighborhood Center is our pilot project for other centers. Here
we are demonstrating the strategy of simultaneously improving both the
community infrastructure and the development of people in the same neighborhood
at the same time. All Saints Neighborhood Center began in a closed church
building in 1997 at the initiative of persons associated with the nearby
All Saints Parish. In the following years, we developed, in response to
community need, the programs described below while also renovating the
historic facility to stringent modern standards and building a new Park
across the street.
We created Neighborhood Centers Incorporated as the 501c3 nonprofit corporation
to fund and manage these development projects and to provide a conduit
for channeling the experience gained from our first project into support
for the renewal of additional neighborhoods.
